Fast Track System - MOH

Dear Colleagues,
Keeping in tandem with the aspiration of the country’s needs and the urgent requirement by the MOH, (below is the extract from the DG’s speech on 9thMarch 2016)

“Moving forwards, the MOH is mooting a fast-track system to shorten the duration of training for HOs who excel in their training, whereby these exceptional HOs (who have passed part 1/ part A of the Parallel Pathway Membership programs such as MRCP, MRCOG etc.) will have the possibility of a speedier promotion to become Medical Officers in their chosen field, and subsequently be able to pursue their postgraduate training to become specialists in a shorter duration. “

Department of Post Graduate & Professional studies, MMMC in addressing the above statement is happy to announce the next MRCP course PART1 (60 hours) will be held in the MUAR campus of MMMC from 21-26th February 2017 in conjunction with OSLER ACADEMY, Hyderabad. Those attending the course have been having a high % of passes.

MRCP PART1 COURSE HELD ON THE 20-15TH MAY2016

The MRCP Part1 course held for the second consecutive time at Melaka-Manipal Medical College, the last being in 2015 a year ago.
The six days full-fledged course (830am till 8pm) was much applauded by all the participants especially with regards to course content, food and accommodation. the feedback was extremely positive and >90% would highly recommend and take the course for the second time.
The upcoming MRCS will be held on the 2-6th of Sept 2016 followed by the MRCPCH course which will be held on the 8-12th October 2016.
We will conclude the postgraduate activities for the year with the AMC PREP course live at MMMC.

MRCP Part I course started today in MMMC!!!
This course is organized by Dept of PG studies/Professional Studies which was formed early this year.
The OSLER group has come from Hyderabad to conduct this course in our campus!!!
It is a great opportunity for the participants who could reap the benefit of the famous OSLER course in Malaysia. 


A talk on "Road to MRCP" will be held on 23rd May 2016 in Sports complex from 6pm onwards...
Open to all those who are interested in a speciality in Internal Medicine!!!
An overview will be given especially for those who are still not sure which direction to take.

From  the Department of  Post Graduate Studies, we wish to inform you regarding the MRCP PART1 course to be held on the 20-25th May 2016. Click Here for more details.
This may concur just prior to your convocation.
There are certainly advantages if you can pass the PART 1 exams such as:
1. A reduction of 8 months from the total housemanship period, which actually means you do only 1 year 4 months for housemanship.
2. On passing the exams you will be placed in the  Medical Unit of choice in General Hospitals to expedite your specialists acquisition.
3. The exams can be taken one year after passing the final MBBS.
4. Those interested may contact Ms. Khalilah or Ms. Angeshwary for clarification
5. Accommodation is available at the hostel at $45/=MR PER DIEM .Rooms –single air conditioned with attach bathroom.
6. Those conducting the courses over a six day period (from 8.00am till 6/7.00 pm) are seasoned Physicians from OSLER  who are conducting the courses  on a regular basis and   are judged as excellence  by participants and carry out courses on a regular basis in Hyderabad with a very high percentage passes.
